Ace mode Successfully complete the game on the expert difficulty setting to unlock the ace difficulty setting. All aircraft Use the following steps to unlock all aircraft, including special colors. First, acquire an aircraft by destroying it in battle. You can acquire three different paint schemes for each aircraft. Two of the paint schemes can be acquired by destroying that color aircraft in battle. To acquire the special brightly colored third aircraft, you must find and kill the pilot flying it. On each level of the game there is a single hidden aircraft (eighteen total hidden aircraft). Each one of these aircraft has a specific pilot. When you see the aircraft in front of you and lock on, it will display the pilot's name next to the aircraft name and lock on square. For example, "S-37A SMIRNOVA". The hidden aircraft will not show up on radar until you get nearby. On radar, the aircraft will be marked with a red triangle instead of yellow. Each hidden aircraft is always in the same place on their specific level. This is always in an empty spot on the map away from the main combat zone. The aircraft can usually be found directly behind the main combat zone. Last but not least are the three remaining aircraft. To acquire the Yellow Squadron fighter (SU-37) of your nemesis Yellow-13, you must kill all of the pilots with names flying the special colored aircraft (eighteen total). The method used to unlock the F-4E with tiger stripes is unknown at this time. To unlock the X-02 Stealth, get an "S" rank on all 18 missions on normal mode. Save resources When you are allies with others, do not build a market to avoid giving them resources. More bases advantage To have a better chance of winning, build more than one base. Enlarge the base you start out with, making it completely fortified with at least two castles. Then, send a scout cavalry, or some other fast moving unit, to the opposite side of the map from your base. After you have checked the area and confirmed that it is safe, send a villager to build a castle at that location and fortify that base. This is very helpful if your enemy knows where one of your bases are located, especially during online play. Golden gun Successfully complete the Trouble In Paradise level with a "Gold" rank. To do this easily, get as much accuracy as you can, take as less hits as you can, and do all the Bond moves (shooting barrels to explode, shooting vital enemy characters and find secret areas). Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 at the batting practice team selection screen and that team will appear next to the Cooperstown Legends. Cheat menu At the controller selection screen, press L1 to activate cheats that have been bought. Infinite points You can gain points for certain feats performed during a game. You can use these points to buy cards which unlock cheats, stadiums, jerseys, producers, and players. An easy way to get a lot of points is to throw a perfect game. This is worth 100 points. Switch controls every time the CPU is up at bat and intentionally strike out. This will get you points for 27 strikeouts, and for a perfect game. Repeat this as many times as needed to get an unlimited amount of points. Extra points To get more points in franchise mode to sign your free agents, during the off season either create a player and pick him up as a free agent or sign free agents and release them at the end of the season. Better hitting Immediately after the pitcher releases the ball, press Start. You will see where the ball is going and if it will be a strike or ball. Resume the game and move your batting cursor over it to get a nice powerful swing. Note: You do not need to press Start directly after the pitcher lets go of the ball -- it just gives you more time to move your cursor after the game is resumed. Use the pause technique before batting. When you see where the ball is going, try your best to get the ball as close to the point of the contact triangle (the part closest to the batter, not the thick part of the triangle). You will usually get homeruns or at least doubles. Better pitching The best pitchers have a pitch called a "Slurve" (for example, Mark Burhele of the Chicago White Sox). Also try the "Dominate Curve" with Pedro. Restore pitcher's energy In season, franchise or expansion mode, go to the DL, and put any pitcher on the 15 day DL. Then immediately take him back into your lineup. He will have recovered all of his energy. Better franchise or expansion mode teams Use trades to get rid of your older less talented players for slightly better players. Even if the CPU rejects your trade, keep trying repeatedly and it will usually eventually accept it. However, make the trade reasonable, such as a B- player for a B or B+ player. If the player you really want just does not seem to want to join your team, try trading for another player who is slightly better, then return to that player you want and try again. Steal Emblems If you see an emblem in the arena that you want to use, select the appropriate AC and press Triangle to display the spec screen. Then, press Start + Select. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Select "Edit Emblem" to view it. Temporary invincibility While playing a game, press L2 + R2 + R3. If you entered the code correctly, a "Limiter Released" system error message will appear, and you will have infinite energy during this time. After approximately one minute, the "OB Down" system error will appear. It will last as long as the previous error, but you will not have any energy. After "OB Down" is completed, your AC will recharge and return to normal. Make sure you finish off your enemy before you become vulnerable. Plus cheats Intentionally lose the first mission after the Raven test, then die with -50,000 credits or less to activate the "Plus" cheats. The game will restart from the first level with all items gained in the previous game. Your pilot name will vanish from the "Pilot name" slot. The more times this is done, the more cheats you will unlock. Some examples are better radar (grid system that detects incoming missiles), fire projectiles from laser swords (press Circle, then quickly press X), cooling twice as fast, being able to fire rear weapons while in motion, and double available energy. Overweight cores Successfully complete mission mode and allow the credits to complete to be able to have cores that are overweight Continue from Armored Core 2 Load the saved data from Armored Core 2 in the one player scenario to start out with all previously obtained weapons and money. Limiter Release To activate the Limiter Release, press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2, then press R3 (Overboost). This will put you into Limiter Release mode for around 40 seconds. The only down side is that you get an OB Depletion indicator after the 40 seconds are up, leaving you totally powerless for 50 seconds. Bonus missions Successfully complete the game, save your data, then load the saved data. You can now access three new high-paying missions where you face Stinger in his AC (from Armored Core: Project Phantasma), Phantasma (who Stinger had merged with), and Final Nine-Ball (from Armored Core: Master Of Arena). All three new missions are very tough. However, you can go overweight for all these missions. After defeating all three, you will get some very fast hover legs, and an "Inside" orbit cannon. Duplicate items Save the game, then drop the items to be duplicated from the inventory of your current character. Press Start and choose change your character. Import your character from the previously saved game. The game will bring in your character with all items in inventory at the time of your save, and allow you to collect the duplicates that are on the ground. Alternatively, save the game and use a Recall Potion to return to the Elfsong Tavern. Drop all your expensive items, then import your saved player. Pick your items up and sell them. You can do this as many times as needed, have to save each time before you import again or you will lose the gold you have made. Resurrection in multi-player mode If a player dies during multi-player mode, have the surviving player go the previous save point. Walk in the light surrounding the save point and they will be brought back. The character will be resurrected with all items, but only with half hit points. Start with Onyx Sword After you have completed the game once and have saved the game with the Onyx Sword in your possession (for example, with the human), start a new game with a new character (for example, the dwarf) and save. Import the human, drop the Onyx Sword and any other good items, then import the dwarf and pick them up. Note you can do this with any character and any weapon. Gauntlet mode Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting to unlock gauntlet mode. Extreme mode Successfully complete gauntlet mode to unlock the extreme difficulty setting. Fall into it and glide (to avoid minor damage). You will see a lit area. Glide down there and pick up the item you find inside. Use the grapnel to exit, jump out of the hole, and finish the slide. The item you picked up should be the key do the door right beside the vines behind the glass. Go inside and fight one of the "Plant Men". You will find an envelope that has a "C" on it in the room. When you finish the game, you can activate this cheat for all weapons and infinite ammunition. Envelope D Go to the SWAT Chase level. You will enter the elevator shaft. Ride the elevator all the way down until it stops. Get off the elevator and wait for it to rise again. After it rises, jump down to the bottom and use first person mode to find the control box. Use a Batarang to disable it and the door behind it will open. Stay clear of the elevator and wait for the correct time to get in the open room. Inside the room is "Secret Key 2." Get out of the room and ride the elevator up to the top. At the top there is a door that is supposed to be locked. The key opens the door, and inside is an envelope with the letter "D" on it. Finish the game and the cheat will be unlocked. Envelope E Go to the Gasworks level. You will reach a room with two levels, each floor with two goons on them. First, take out the goons. Then, look around on the lower floor until you see a sewer pipe with boxes in the sewage. Carefully glide down and land on the first box. Jump over the next few boxes and pick up the envelope with an "E" on it. Finish the game and the cheat will be unlocked Battle mode Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting with any ranking. Then, battle mode will automatically be saved to the memory card and selectable at the main menu. First person view option in battle mode Successfully complete the game on the easy or normal difficulty settings with any ranking to enable an option to play battle mode in first person view. Play as Steve Burnside in battle mode Get the Gold Lugers from the basement office in Disc 2. The correct combination is red, green, blue, and brown. You can also unlock Steve Burnside by performing well with the original Chris in battle mode. Play as Albert Wesker in battle mode Perform well with Chris in battle mode. Play as alternate Claire in battle mode Perform well with the original Claire in battle mode. Linear launcher in battle mode Get an "A" ranking with Chris, Steve Burnside, Albert Wesker and both versions of Claire in battle mode to unlock the linear launcher. It will appear in your inventory during the next battle mode game. Rocket launcher Get an "A" ranking in the normal game by completing it without saving, no first aid sprays, and no retries. Additionally, save Steve from the Luger quickly, give the Medicine to Rodrigo, and complete the game with a time less than 4:30. Driving 101 FMV sequence Successfully complete all Driving 101 options to unlock the Driving 101 FMV sequence. Secret room: Move in front of the bookcase inside Casper's house. Shoot the bookcase with normal, fire, fire, ice, normal, fire, and super spirit blasts (in order). The will open to a secret room containing Lucky the Chicken. Easy aces Select a hard hitter for arcade mode. When it is your turn to serve, hold Square and press the Left Analog-stick slightly to the side of the court. If done correctly, this will result in a very fast serve, almost always getting an ace. Bonus helicopters Successfully complete all "Rescue" missions to unlock Bat and Pork as playable helicopters in all modes. Time attack mode and final rescue mission Successfully complete all "Chase" missions to unlock time attack mode and final rescue mission in mission mode. Disaster mode Achieve an "S" class rank on the final rescue mission to unlock disaster mode. Defeating Py-Ro Hold Circle to charge the water cannon or you will never hit. Defeating: Ro-Ko Roll around the side of the area without going in the center. Every rock will come near you, and Crunch will mostly miss you. Defeating Wa Wa When you are facing Wa Wa, crunch will shoot things at you. He will fire blue beams that you should jump over. When he fires green things, duck. Hop from one panel to another. When you reach Crunch quickly spin. Watch out -- the panels will sink. Try to get a head start on each run. Find Special Items There are three special types of items that are found almost exclusively in their respective dungeons. These items are useful for trade, fulfilling donation quests or for purchasing certain kinds of weapons. Power Gems can be found in the Lost City. Ooze can be found in the Ancient Forest. Necrystal can be found in the Necropolis. How to Use Reagents There are three Reagents in the game, which will help Anna grow her abilities. These can be found in each of the three Dungeons in the realm. Once found, they can be taken to the reagent receptacles in each of the three towns. In Westhaven, place a Potent Candle in the Tome of Knowledge to gain +1 Intellect. Potent Candles can be found in the Necropolis. In Rygard, place a Life Seed in the Life Chalice to gain +1 Life Force. Life Seeds can be found in the Ancient Forest. In Hom, place a piece of Power Ore in the Golden Statue to gain +1 Strength. Power Ore can be found in the Lost City. Use Armor Wisely Avoid wearing metal armor against enemies that have good electrical attacks (Undead). Instead, get a higher-level Leather armor to protect yourself. Don't even dream of going to the lower regions of the Necropolis wearing metallic armor (Plate or Chain) Demon Shaft dungeon Successfully complete the game and save to unlock the Demon Shaft. The Demon Shaft will be selectable under the "Go To Other Areas" map. The Demon Shaft is an extremely hard dungeon, with 100 floors. Get across a town faster If you want to get to a place in walking mode faster, enter edit mode. Move the pointer to your destination and exit edit mode. Ultimate weapons Use the Build-Up command instead of Status Break to get the best weapons in the game. Status Breaking will only take away 40% of your weapon's power. Use the Status Break only when getting special abilities for your main weapon. Set the difficulty to easy, then finish the level. Hidden items at Hu Loa Gate In Hu Loa Gate, on top of the Han Shui Gate is a Musou +10. On the Hu Loa Gate is a Life +10. Art Of War Scroll special item Play The Siege Of Hei Fei Castle with the Blue forces. Defeat all generals except Sun Quan and the special item message will appear. Go to the big boat that Sun Quan is on to receive the Art of War Scroll. It doubles the time of the effect of the Defense and Attack times two for thirty seconds and Musou full for ten seconds. Black Shadow special item Play Huang Gai on the hard difficulty setting at the battle of Chi Bi for Allied forces. Follow orders to execute the fire attack against the Wei (Cao Cao's) forces. Defeat Zhang Liao (and possibly some other generals as well) before defeating Cao Cao. A "Special Item" should be found near the place of prayer at the southwestern end of the map. The Shadow Rod is a +44 attack weapon with 6 hits. It also adds +27 Musou Charge, +82 HP Max, +57 Defense, +52 Mounted Attack, and +23 Reach. Bodyguard Manual special item At the Siege Of He Fan Castle level, go to where Xhu Zhu is located. Defeat him on the ridge and the "Special Item Discovered" message will appear. Complete the level and you will have the Bodyguard Manual, which makes your bodyguards stronger. Dian Wei's special item Play the Battle At Wan Castle level with Dian Wei on the hard difficulty setting . Defeat general Hu Che Er. A supply captain will appear in the south. Defeat him to get Dian Wei's fourth weapon, which as HP +84, Attack +27, and Musou Charge +28. Defender special item In the Battle of Wu Zhang Plains on the hard difficulty setting with the Wei force, find a place where an intermission sequence starts and you see shooting stars. A special item message should appear for the Defender. This is almost impossible to obtain with one person. Both of your characters should be at full stats with their fourth weapon. This item will have your character's Defense x2 when near death. Diao Chan's special item Play the Battle of Hu Lao Gate on the hard difficulty setting with Dong Zhuo's forces. Kill Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei. Note: Liu Bei must be the last one to be killed. The special item should be close to Han Sui Gate. Dong Zhuo's special item Play Dong Zhuo in Battle of Hu Lao Gate with Dong Zhuo's forces on the hard difficulty setting. First, destroy Liu Bei's army by killing Liu Bei himself. It is not necessary to kill Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Dong Zhuo will tell Diao Chan to go to the front lines. Wait for Diao Chan to defect. It may take a while. After she defects, quickly kill her before Lu Bu does. The special item message for Dong Zhuo's fourth weapon should appear in the center of the map. Fire Arrow special item At the battle of Chi Bi, prevent the Allied fire attack. A special item found message will appear. If you have been in the gate, go out and re-enter the supply team should appear. Guan Yu's special item Play the Guan Yu's Escape level with Guan Yu's forces on hard difficulty setting. Kill Zhang He, Zhen Ji, and Xu Huang. A supply unit will appear. Ride (or run) as fast as you can to where Xu Zhu is located. On the way you should meet a supply unit. Kill the supply captain and he will drop Guan Yu's Blue Moon Dragon. The supply unit will leave in a short time, so move quickly. Hex Mark special item At Cheng Du, kill every officer except for Liu Zhang. A special item report will occur to the northwest of the map. Get the item and equip it. The Hex Mark is Liu Bei's horse. Imperial Saddle special item At the Battle of Yi Ling, with Shu forces, stop Lu Xun's fire attack and kill Lu Xun. A supply unit will appear near the northern-most Wu gate. Kill the supply captain for the Imperial Saddle; an item that allows the riding of any horse. Lu Xun's special item Play the Battle of Yi Ling with Lu Xun on the hard difficulty setting. Some time into the game it will appear in the maze trap. Guide yourself around by pressing Start. The special item is his fourth weapon, the Falcon. Lui Bei's special item Play the Battle Of Yi Ling with Lui Bei on the hard difficulty setting. You will find it at the top right of the radar awhile into the game. Lui Bei's fourth weapon is the Gold Moon Dragon. Lu Meng's special item Play the Battle At Fan Castle level and defeat Guan Ping. A special item message will appear. Lu Meng's fourth weapon will be in a box near Sima Yi (not on the castle, but on the ground). Ma Chao's special item Play with Ma Chao on the hard difficulty setting in the Tong Gate level. Ma Chao is the main general. They must kill General Han Sui, but he is on your side. First, you must kill Cao Ren and Cao Hong. Then, wait for Xu Huang to bring his army. Watch Cao Cao and make sure he moves away from Xaihou Yuan. Then, kill Xiahou Yuan. Wait for Cao Cao to move further up the field. Walk across the bridge and go towards Cao Cao. Do not attack his men or him. He should walk across the bridge to the field. Cao Cao will then talk to Han Sui. Wait about five minutes and do anything except attack Cao Cao. Han Sui should defect after awhile. Make sure you have Hex Mark or Red Hare -- when you kill Han Sui you must run to the gate on the top right corner of the screen. A supply unit will appear and try to retreat to there. Kill the supply unit and you will get Ma Chao's fourth weapon, which gives Jump +21, Mounted Attack +60, Mounted Defense +60, and Reach +21. Mad Bull special item Play with Dian Wei in musuo mode to unlock "Battle at Wan Castle" (where according to legend Dian Wei gives his life to save his leader). Play this scenario on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat the opposing general Hu Che Er (who according to legend stole Dian Wei's axe). After you defeat him, a supply unit will appear to the south in the middle corridor not far from where you defeated Hu Che Er. You must get to the supply unit very quickly, as they will retreat almost immediately. Defeat the Supply Captain and pick up the weapon, which will be Dian Wei's Mad Bull. It is a 6 hits electrically charged axe, with a 49 Attack Power, along with a +84 Hit Point Max, +27 Attack Power, and +8 Musuo Charge. Lu Bu's special item Play the Hu Lao Gate level on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Lui Bei, and Gong Dzan. A supply team will appear. Quickly defeat them to get his fourth weapon. Meng Huo's special item (Nanman forces) In the Nanman Campaign on the hard difficulty setting, defeat all the generals with Men Huo. A special item message will appear in the middle of the level. Go to it and you will find Meng Huo's fourth weapon. It adds +27 Attack, +54 Mounted Attack, and +54 Mounted Defense. Power Scroll special item At the battle of He Fei, defeat Gan Ning to get the Power Scroll. This item prevents you from losing weapon deadlocks. Red Hare special item On Hu Loa Gate, once you defeat Lu Bu a supply unit will appear (usually to the north). Defeat the supply captain and you will get a secret item. Equip the item to use it on any level. Sky Scorcher special item Play with Lu Bu on Hu Lao Gate for Dong Zhuo's forces (possibly on the hard difficulty setting). Defeat Cao Cao and a supply unit will appear not far from where you defeat him. Defeat the Supply Captain and pick up the weapon box, which will be Lu Bu's Sky Scorcher. It is a 6 hits electrically charged weapon with a 50 Attack, along with a +24 Jump, +90 Musuo Max, +90 HP Max, +30 Attack, and a +60 Defense. At Hu Lao Gate with Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo on the hard difficulty setting, defeat Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, and Gongsun Zhan. There will be a message that a supply unit has appeared to the northeast of the map. Defeat the Supply Captain and get the weapon box with the Sky Scorcher. Sun Ce's special item Play with Sun Ce on the hard difficulty setting in the Attack In Wu Territory level. Sun Ce is the main general. Go through the level normally until you get to the split, where your army separates. Go left where Taishi Ci is located. Do not fight him. Kill the main general to the left first, then the one to the right. A special item, Sun Ce's fourth weapon, Overlord, should appear next to Taishi Ci. It gives Speed +21, Jump +20, Musou Max +80, and HP +72. Sun Jian's special item Play with Sun Jian on the hard difficulty setting in the Surprise Attack On Liu Buia level. You will start next to a ship. Usually Sun Jian gets himself killed when playing with Sun Ce or Huang Gai. Take Sun Jian to the valley to the right of the screen, then kill Lu Gong. The special item message will appear. Sun Jian's fourth weapon can be found around the beginning of the valley. Sun Shang Xiang's special item Play the You Ting level on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat Coa Xiu and his forth weapon can be found near Coa Xui's intial position. Survival Guide special item In the Battle of Wu Zhang Plains on the hard difficulty setting with the Shu force, find a place where an intermission sequence starts and you see shooting stars. Note: This may take awhile, and may happen when Zhang Fei dies. A special item message should appear for the Survival Guide. This item will have your character's Attack x2 for thirty seconds when near death. Taishi Ci's special item Play the Assault On Wu Territory level with the allied forces (not Sun Ce's). This is the battle where Sun Ce normally gets Taishi Ci to join Wu. With Taishi Ci, defeat all the generals except Sun Ce. His fourth weapon should appear at the top of the screen. Way Of The Musou special item Select Guan Yu and play the Guan Yu's Escape level. Play through the level as usual and kill Xiahou Dun before Liu Bei comes to rescue you. Xiahou Dun will drop the Way Of The Musou item, which lets you use the True Musou attack at any time regardless of your health. Wei Yan's special item (Shu forces) In Battle Of Jie Ting, play with Wei Yan on the hard difficulty setting. Wait for Zhang He to say "A downhill charge....like falling blossoms...my people lets dance around them!". Then, kill Zhang He and the rest of the generals. Enter the enemy HQ and a special item message should appear. Go to where Zhang He was fought in the middle area to find Wei Yan's fourth weapon. It adds +23 Jump, +24 Attack, +56 Defense and +22 Reach. Use the fourth Triangle attack (where he hits them in the air) for a one hit kill to anyone except generals, even in hard mode. Xiahou Dun's special item (Cao-Cao's forces) In Guan Yu's Escape on the hard difficulty setting, defeat all the generals with Xiahou Dun. A special item message will appear. Go to it to find Xiahou Duns fourth weapon. It adds +26 Attack, +60 Bow Defense, +56 Mounted Defense , and +24 Reach. Xu Huang's special item Play Xu Huang in Battle at Fan Castle with Wei forces on the hard difficulty setting. Go directly (quickly) to Guan Ping (is in the southeast of the map or found in "info unit"). Quickly kill Guan Ping before the water rises. The special item message for Xu Huang's fourth weapon will appear in the north part of the map. Zhang Liao's special item Play the He Fei level (not He Fei Castle) on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat Zhou Tai and the weapon box with his fourth weapon will appear to the north of the broken bridge. Zhao Yun's special item Play the Chang Ban level with Zhao Yun on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat the enemy officers and a supply unit message will appear. Kill the supply captain to get the Zhao Yun's fourth weapon, the Fierce Dragon. Zhen Ji's special item Play the Jie Ting level on the hard difficulty setting. Defeat Jiang Wei and his fourth weapon can be found around Zhuge Lian's camp. Zhou Yu's special item Play with Sun Quan's forces at the battle of Chi Bi. Wait for Zhuge Liang to blow the winds then defeat Xiahou Dun and Zhang He. The special item message will appear. Zhou Yu's fourth weapon can now be found in the center of the ship. Dolphin Soccer - Go to the Powers Of Levitation level and find your way to the room where the clan General (the dolphin that has the inspection) is located. Swim through the side of the wall that moves like Jello. On the floor near one of the orange lights is a soccer ball. Get it, then go to the level selection screen. An option for the Dolphin Soccer mini-game will appear at the bottom of the list. Bonus levels - Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting. The Up & Down level will shimmer, and you can now access both 2D bonus levels: Passage From Genesis level - As you start the Up & Down level, swim around the cavern until you find the Info Crystal. Below it is a hole that leads downward. The current is too strong -- you cannot swim down it. Look for the boulder just right outside the alcove where the hole is located. Push it into the hole and stay directly behind it. You will enter a room with four stone pegs. Above those pegs is the power of Sonar. Get the Sonar and use it in the small opening of the pegs. A little light should appear. Quickly light up all four and a door below will open to the 2D level. Pathways From Nowhere level - After you make your way up the geyser, you will find a big ring with a spot of light in the middle. In that same area are many power jewels. Find them and bring them to the ring. Two are above the water, one is under the stone shack-like thing, and the rest are around the other side of the pool. After you have collected all of them. it will open the way to the bonus area. Vitalit locations - Aquamarine Bay 1: Win the Find The Fish challenge. After talking to the coach, a Vitalit will appear above the ocean surface. 2: In front of the waterfall above the surface. 3: Floating under the stone archway. 4: Atop a huge rock near the whales. Gather a lot of speed and charge at the surface, shooting over the rock. (very difficult) 5: Hanging near the branches of the palm tree, on the opposite side of the floating logs. Perils Of The Coral Reef 1: Win the race with the two dolphins, and they will make a Vitalit appear above the surface of the pool. 2: Find the dolphin who is searching for his brother. It is stashed in the lower right corner of this area. 3: In the Great White Pool near some coral, between two caves. 4: After you defeat the Great White, a Vitalit will appear above the surface near the waterfall. 5: From the Great White pool, take the dark tunnel (using Glow Fish to light the way) to discover the last Vitalit. Trial Without Error- 1: Near where you find the baby dolphin in the dark cave. 2: When you save all of the baby dolphins the mother will make another Vitalit appear. 3: Just before the pool of sharks, you will find the Vitalit just past the tunnel exit. 4: Near the power of Vigor. 5: Near the Octopus in his subterranean cave. Four Ways Of Mystery- 1: In the dead end to the left of the White Crystal. 2: Floating above the pool with the recluse dolphin who teaches you the Song of the Ray. 3: In the pool with the Giant Manta Ray (without the dolphin). 4: In the blue crystal path, take a right at the crystal, then follow the path to a crossroads. Head right again here to get the Vitalit. 5: Once you learn Power Of Sonar, use it on the big rock on the roof of the main pool to get the final Vitalit. Up And Down- 1: One of the alcoves of the main chamber contains a Vitalit. 2-4: Three Vitalits are to be collected as you follow the flow of the geyser up. 5: Floating above the waterfall. Roaring Forces- 1: In the start chamber, leap over the floating boards. 2: Stashed in the rocks near the waterfall. 3: Once you pass the dolphin puzzle, swim through the rocks and look up to find the third Vitalit. 4: Just before the entrance to the Morphing pool, you will find a Vitalit between the walls. 5: Next to the exit. Atlantis Lost- 1: Leap into the air from the starting point. 2: Nestled in the reeds on the left side of the pool. 3: On the far end of the pool next to the Sonar Power-up is a pile of rocks. Blast it with Sonar. 4: Facing the main temple from the accelerator rings, the building just ahead and to the right contains a Vitalit. 5: The main temple houses a Vitalit near its domed ceiling. Shrine Of Controversy- 1: In the Circle Shrine. 2: Near the Wheel Of Pain you will see an archway. The Vitalit is hanging in the water under its arch. 3: Inside the well of the Crimson Shrine. 4: Near the Mover Shrine. 5: In the path that Pilot takes you through to the Prime Mover, veer left to a dead end. Master Of Forgotten Skills- 1: On the conveyor machine. 2: Inside a tunnel near the perimeter. 3: Inside a pipe of the conveyor machine. 4: Behind a column at the bottom of the pool. 5: Also inside the conveyor machine. Process That Never Ends- 1: Floating near the ceiling at the beginning of the conveyor tube. 2: In the fourth of five switch chambers to the left of the conveyor tube. 3: In the fifth chamber. 4: In a circular room at the end of the conveyor belt, hanging near the ceiling. 5: In the same room, tucked below under the glass and rocks. Blades In Motion- 1: Head through the floor from the starting point, then look up. The Vitalit is on the ceiling of this room. 2: In the wheel chamber before you get to the spinning blades. Follow the spinning room around to find it. 3: Once you are through the blades and break through the glass into the room surrounding the heated tunnels, you will find a Vitalit in the same room as the Endurance power-up and air supply. 4: Once in the confusing tunnels, you will discover one Vitalit at a dead end. Go up at the end of the upper tunnels to find it. 5: On your way down from the upper tunnels in a vertical tube. Perpetual Fluidity- 1: Near the floor by the pipes in the first shark room. 2: In the green switch room near the floor. 3: In the piranha room, near some pipes at the bottom of the pool. 4: Once the water level is fully raised, head to the room past the piranha room (a dead end) to discover the Vitalit near the top of the tank. 5: Head all the way back through the piranha room, through the room with the Air power-up, across the hub room with multiple exits and to a dead end pool to find the Vitalit hanging near the top of the water. Obscure Ways To Terminus- 1-5: Each Vitalit hangs above the dividing rooms in the current chambers (labeled with stars). Leap over the barriers in the appropriate places to collect them. Sleeping Forces Of Doom 1: Once you break the shield, a tunnel will open, giving you access to a single Vitalit. Anguish Of Dearth- 1: On the coral shelf near the top of the water. 2: On the floor of the starting pool, just below the first. 3: In a cove off of the main pool, directly across the pool from the starting point. 4: On the way to the tunnel that takes you to the big fish pool, you can get a Vitalit near the surface of the water. 5: Near the end of the tunnel, resting near the ocean floor. Entrapment- 1: Near the starting point. 2: Against the huge wall that bars entrance to the detention facility pool (to the left of the door). 3: Once you enter the detention pool, you will find a Vitalit above one of the spires of the detention facility. 4: Another Vitalit will be found on the opposite spire. 5: Search the wide tunnel off of the detention pool for the last Vitalit. It is near the end. Caverns Of Hope- 1: Above the surface of the water, you will find the first Vitalit at a dead end to the right after the first left turn. 2: Near the rock floor in the second long hallway with explosive pods. 3: In the Globe pool, search the pods to the right. 4: Hidden in a pod near the Globe itself. 5: Near the end of the second leg of escorting your dolphin friend through the caverns. Lair Of Evil- 1: Head directly ahead from the starting point, ignoring the right path. In the middle of the circular pathway at the end of this tunnel is the first Vitalit. 2: Follow the right path from the starting point until you reach a hole that leads down. Swim inside to get the Vitalit. 3: After the laser tunnel, you will find a room with a bossy Clan Officer. Search this chamber for the third Vitalit. 4: In the largest room where their is a Clan Officer (the one that leads you to the control center), far behind him there is a huge image of the clan mark. The Vitalit is behind it. 5: In the large pool where you exit from. Powers Of Levitation- 1: Near the sand tube where the clan General leads you. 2: Outside the main generator building. 3: Inside the hidden room, where you go to play soccer. 4: Inside the central generator room. 5: Near the entrance to a fan tube (where you go to get the last few couplings). Hanging Waters- 1: Find the Vitalit in the first ball of water to your right, just as you start. It is in the bottom seaweed. 2: After you plunge into the rock pool, the next Vitalit can be found in the tube as you exit the other side. 3: Near the floor of the first pool (after Ice and Fire). 4: The pool below Abyss if Inferno. 5: In the pool immediately before the Mutaclone Boss. Ice And Fire- 1: Hanging above the air hole. Abyss Of Inferno- 1: Search under the wall. Mutaclone- 1: Inside the largest yellow rock. Break it open. Chance Of Reckoning- 1: As you exit the long tunnel, to the right you will see a clump of seaweed. You will discover the first Vitalit here. 2: To the right of the first whirlpool, atop some rocks. 3:Suspended above the surface of the pool over the third whirlpool (seal it before trying for the Vitalit). 4: Leap over the Queen's head. 5: Near the waterfall. Make sure you raise the water level (by clogging all three whirlpools) before trying for this one. The Hatchery- 1: Just past the left switch near the alien shark, you will see a Vitalit floating near the floor. 2: Get inside the air/food force shield to collect the second Vitalit. 3: Search the eggs near the machine arm. The left-most egg in the right row contains a Vitalit. 4: Follow the discarded eggs down the disposal. 5: Directly across from the starting point, near the ceiling. Seeds Of Poison- 1-3: Three Vitalits are in alcoves off of the main cave. 4-5: On the way up the egg chute, you will discover a pair of Vitalits. Transfiguration- 1: Above the surface of the air pool. 2: Near the ceiling of the chamber, near the central column. 3-5: Use your Power Of Sonar on the rocks near the Power of Morph to get the final three Vitalits. Heart Of The Foe 1-5: Each Vitalit is hovering behind a membrane at the top of the heart chamber. Charge up to get each one. Ending bonuses Successfully complete the game to unlock the "Arcade Mode" option at the extra menu and the "Mirror Mode" option at the arcade mode menu. You will encounter a monster with a Degulta. Defeat it to get it -- if you do not get it, you fought the wrong monster. Easy money While playing as Darius, in the shrine under the castle there is a Save Crystal. Continue down the walkway you will fight a giant stone monster. Go left or right from that room you can find as many as four of these opponents. There is a good chance that they will drop a Palmira Ore, which sells for 1,000. They also drop Red Fruits on occasion, which also makes this location a good place to increase Darius' stats and equipment levels. Darkforge Armor In Darius's story, you have to fight a monster that appears in the reception hall. After you defeat this monster, the ground begins to shake and you go to the underground shrine. When enter, you will find a save crystal -- hopefully you have enough money to buy it. Enter the shop, go to the armor and purchase it. This is the best armor and greatly increases strength. Defender Sword In Darius' story, when you get into the coliseum and defeat the Boss, he will slam his sword into the ground and cause an avalanche. This will cause both of you to plummet downward. When you get on your feet, turn around and you will see a sword on the floor. Pick it up. It is the Boss' Defender Sword that he dropped after the fall. Heavenly Axe In Darius' story, when you get to the abandoned road and defeat Djin, a bridge will apear. Go across the bridge and follow the path. You will enter a room with Sienna. Do not talk to her yet. Instead, turn right and pick up the Heavenly Axe. Unlimited Stat Pumping To do this with Sharline, you have to find a plant critter that appears near the first crystal she sees. Kill this critter and it not only drops a Blue Fruit every time but also some money. The Blue Fruit allows you to spread five points among your stats. Walk through the crystal to the shop. This will reset the screen with the critter in it. Now when you return the same critter will be there, and killing him again will get you a fruit. Darius is a little harder to do this with. He has at least one similar spot (that I have found), but requires more work to get pull off. In the upper shrine, in the far east corridor there is a Rock Golem. Killing him seems to drop a Red Fruit (twice as good as the Blue) each time he's killed. You still have to reset the screen with a visit to the shop, which this time is far away, but it can be done. The limit to stat increases from fruit is 200 for each. Darius' early Blue Fruit creature is the Paraday near the fountain. Skip intermission sequences During an intermission sequence, hold Triangle. Guitar mini-game Go to the screen where you choose your song. Press various controller buttons to display little icons on the screen that make the song do different things: "Hide" icon Press Red, Blue, Green, Blue, Red, Green for hidden mode. When the bars get to the middle/top area, they disappear making it very hard to hit them correctly. "FF" icon Press Red, Green, Blue, Pick(2) for fast forward mode. This makes the bars scroll faster. "SFF" icon Press Red, Green, Blue, Pick(2), Red, Green, Blue, Pick(2). The bars will scroll even faster. "Random" icon Press Blue, Green(2), Red, Green, Pick for random mode. Some notes will be randomized. "SUD" icon Press Green, Red, Blue, Green, Blue, Red, Pick at the mode selection screen. Notes will appear closer to the play line. Then turn around and look down the hallway and the hidden board will be in the air. Wall Ride to get the board. Chris Senn's board in San Francisco From the start, go down the hill and take the first left turn. Go all the way down to the corner, where there is a group of extra bonus points and the fifth checkpoint. Do not grind to get them. Instead, go under the rail you grind on to find a house. The hidden board can be found on the left side of the house. Collin McKay's board in Ruins Go to the area with zombies on a high platform. Jump off of the platform towards the waterfall to get the board. Rick's board in Museum In the third room, go up the slope and grind the dinosaur to get the board. Rick's board in Boat Go to the first floor in the back of the boat on the grind rail. Bonus boards Unlock hard mode, then play a level until you get all of the licenses for that level. For every level you do this, you will unlock an extra board. Bonus modes Successfully complete the game on any difficult setting to unlock "Survival" and "3 Minute Attack" modes. Twin Daggers Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting, then save the game after the credits end. Load the saved game and when you start the game you will have the Twin Daggers, which is the best weapon in the game. Expert mode Successfully complete the game after finding all fifteen dog tags and save. Start another game with the yellow "Rear Of Compound" save file (00:00:00 time). The game will begin with extra ammunition (500 bullets, 50 shotgun shells, 30 grenade rounds, 1,000 flame units, and 25 Ultimate Launcher missiles) and extra health items (20 Recovery Unit A, 5 Recovery Unit B, 5 MTS Vaccine, 5 Booster Shot A and 3 Booster Shot B). After the credits, and the funny candy girl song, you can save the game. When you do save the game, the save file will be yellow and have a star next to it. When you load this saved game file, you will begin with 300 bullets, 50 shotgun shells, 99 grenade shells, 1000 flame thrower capacity, and 25 missiles. You will also start out with an AT-6 Grenade Launcher. This has a six chamber revolving unit that you can use. You also get 25 recovery unit type A, 5 type B, 5 MTS vaccines, 5 booster shot type A, and 3 booster shot type B. However, the enemies take double the hits to kill in this mode. Dog tag locations The following are the locations of the dog tags in order of when you find them: #5 Corporal Ross Dixon. Once the dust clears from the train wreck in the train area, go through the hole the train made. On the platform to the right, between two metal boxes, is the dog tag. #4 Corporal Arthur McDonnel. In the Command Center (where you use the 51204791 code in the computer) reach the side where the computer is located. If in the box, the dog tag is to the left of the computer, outside. Go to the outside corner of the box, where you can look over the electric stream. The dog tag is next to the box. You should see it shining. #1 Private First Class Hans Grant. After defeating the Boss from the freight elevator, the dog tag is left behind, on the treadmill. #12 Lieutenant Mat Shuggart. After grabbing the parka, go up the ladder next to where you came out. Up there you should see the dog tag before the bridge across to the corpse and the detonator. #11 Second Lieutenant Chris Ditter. After coming in the Filtration Plant through the tool shed (you came in a by a ladder), make your way to the left. There should be a slope with a little bit of ledge. Climb across that ledge and make it to the platform across. Get up on the little bit higher platform. Under the platform, is the dog tag. #9 Officer Cadet Ed Collate. After getting the dog tag receiver unit, duck under the platform next to the staircase. Slice the trip wire, then collect the goodies: A SPR4 magazine, shotgun shells, a flame thrower tank, and dog tag #9. #6 Sergeant Robert Cameron. Near the wrecked train, where you first meet the watchdogs, use the dog tag receiver unit to find it. #7 Sergeant David Murren. Once coming through the door of the train room, you should see a booth or something straight ahead. Slice the wooden crates to the left of it and you should see it to the right of the steel crates. #13 Captain Kurt Gianini. Up the stairs, in the same room, there should be a vent in the area where you look down on the booth area. Once in, take the first right and go straight until you reach the end. Turn right and there they should be at the end. #3 Private First Class Tom Taylor. In the room with the metal tag, same area as the other two above. You should find it by the metal tag. #10 Officer Cadet Lance McLaughlin. After confronting Cindy, you should find this tag in the corner near her. #2 Corporal Filel Sidalis. On the ledge outside, near Filel, there is the dog tag on the ledge. Use the dog tag receiver unit. #14 Sergeant Roger Grigman. After defeating Roger, the dog tag should be just before the bridge. Also take his knife. #15 Major Mike Madigan. After defeating Roger, go to where the wounded Madigan is located. Once the FMV sequence is over, his dog tags will be next to the elevator-like thing where he descended into the Facility. #8 First Sergeant Ken Reschner. In the area with the ice camo car, the dog tag is in the corner of a little outcropping. You should now have 14 out of 15 dog tags. Infinite shields and turbos At the main menu, press L1 + R1, L2 + R2, L1 + L2, R1 + R2. If you entered the code correctly, an "Unlimited Energy/Turbo" message will appear. Note: The effects of this code only last for one race and must be re-enabled before the start of the next race. Infinite shields Pause the game and press L1 + R1, L2 + R2, L1 + L2, R1 + R2.
