However, you can stay alive no matter what, unless you stop while he is chasing you. In Stage 8, he is farther away and you can easily run away without being hurt. However, this run is very long and the Spinosaurus is not the only thing that can hurt you. When he gets stuck at the boxes he will start throwing them at you. There are also holes which you must jump and Blue Raptors which you must avoid. The easiest way to do all of this is to run straight through the middle. The only thing you will have to do is jump the holes. Do not stop running, even to defeat the Blue Raptors when Spinosaurus is stuck. Defeating Dilopholsauruses (stage 2 and 8) Run towards the Dilopolsauruses and get close to them. Then, turn around and run across the water. When you see a Dilopholsaurus in the water, shoot at the switch so it gets electrocuted. It takes three electrocutions to take a Dilopholsaurus down. Do this repeatedly until you defeated all the Dilopholsauruses. Defeating Blue Raptor (stage 5 and 8) The Blue Raptor is found in the one way museum tour, two rooms through the tour. When you find him, run into the next room. Position yourself so that the Blue Raptor is under the shadow. When he is in position, shoot the switch and a Modeled Pteranadon will fall on him. After he gets up, run into the next room and immediately get behind the exhibit in the middle. Start pushing it quickly. It will fall on him. Repeat either the falling Pteranadon or the exhibit case actions one more time to defeat him. Defeating Red Raptor (stage 5 and 8) The Red Raptor is found at the start of stage 5 and around the middle of stage 8. In both stages, there is a room with Raptor model(s), a cage, and a switch. In stage 5, you have to lure the Red Raptor in by investigating one of the models and the switch. Once he is in the room, lure him under the shadow. When he is under the shadow, shoot at the switch. He will be trapped. He will angrily jump around the cage, but cannot escape. In stage 5, he will knock down some keys. Defeating the Giant Pteranadon (stage 6) There are three platforms with one box on each platform. Immediately stand in front of a box. When the Giant Ptereanadon appears, jump away from the box so that it explodes. If you do this too early, the box will not explode. It usually takes three to five direct hits for the Giant Pteranadon to run away. Defeating Compys (stage 7 and 8) When you enter the area where you have to fight the Compys, three boulders will fall -- one blocking the entrance, one blocking the exit and one in the middle. Defeating the giant droids in Level 4 The level four Boss is two giant droids that have a weaker electric beam attack. To defeat them, lure them out of the corners that they are in. It is easier to fight them one at a time. Go up and attack them from behind. Use Force Attacks and Power Attacks. It will take three to four Force Attacks and five to eight Power Attacks to take out each of them. Defeating the attack droids in Level 5 The Boss for the level 5 is about ten attack droids (similar to Droidikas) that float in the air. This makes it impossible to attack them from the ground. To defeat them, reflect your fire back at them with the lightsaber block. Be careful -- their hits will fill up your lightsaber reflection gauge quickly, but there is a health boost in the northern part of the Boss' arena. Defeating Darth Maul Use this trick to defeat Darth Maul in the second bout (after the first room but before the room with the circular hole in the floor where you eventually defeat him). Because you are on the narrow walkway, hold R to block attacks and study his attack pattern. When the break comes, release R and press A to attack. Keep going until he runs away. Do not through them off a ledge or into an enemy. A heart will pop out of them. You can do this as many times as needed if you do not kill them. Easy coins When you use the magic potion to get the mushrooms, do not pick up the surrounding vegetables (which are coins in the magic door) immediately. Instead, find the location in each level where there are the most vegetables that are close together. Drop the magic potion and go in the door. Pick up as many coins as possible. Repeat this once, after doing something that will make the potion reappear (such as climbing a vine, going down a pipe, or entering a door). Extra lives Each time the spinners start in the bonus round, the second symbol in the first slot is always a cherry. If done correctly, you can usually get an average of at least one extra life per coin. World 1-1 quick ending On World 4-1, get the Princess. Go up the vine, but go to the left. Run and fly to a secret door. Go through the door and use the bombs to blow up the wall. Then, jump over the top of the screen and run left. World 1-2 shortcut In World 1-2, select Luigi, get the carpet, and fly to the land. Instead of getting the key, pick up the hopping Ninja and throw it in front of the door. Then, prepare a squat jump and wait for him to jump high. If done correctly, you should jump and reach the hill above you. Then, run past the first door and enter the second one to fight the Boss. World 1-3 warp At the end of the outside part, there is a vase object. If you carry a red liquid in a bottle and throw it there, you will go down. Take a potion to the last vase (past the door) and throw it. Enter the new door and then the vase to warp to World 4-1. World 3-1 easy coins In World 3-1, use Toad, because of his lifting power. Fall down the waterfall, onto the platform where the door is at the bottom. Enter the door and get the magic potion. Drop it anywhere where there is a continuous stream of coins. Enter this door, and get as many coins as possible. Go out the door you used to enter, then return, and repeat once. World 3-1 warp After you go into the first door, walk into the hole. There is a piece of land with another door located there. After you are in the door, go to the end, then start picking weeds. The red ones are placed at random but are usually near the back. If you want a lot of coins, just throw it where you found it. If you want to warp, just throw it near the vase object. World 4-2 extra lives There is a Giant POW in the level. Use it to kill all of the little porcupines around you. Go up the vine and go back down. Sacrifice your energy to get to the POW and kill them again. Go back up and get the Heart by holding Down for a few seconds and jumping. Repeat the process until you get as many lives as desired. World 4-2 warp Take a potion in the second part of the stage, to the only vase. Enter the door and then the vase to warp to World 6-1. World 4-3 find fry guy Use the Princess in World 4-3. A castle will appear after crossing the lake. Do not enter the castle. Instead, fly further across the lake to find another part of the castle. World 5-3 warp After entering the first door, use Luigi to reach the vase at the top. There is also a potion located there. Enter the new door and then the vase to warp to World 7-1. World 6-3 shortcut In World 6-3, climb the vine or go through the door to get to the next area. Then, instead of going right through the world, go left into the quicksand while holding Left. As soon as you see your character's head disappear. Start jumping to the left. Keep going until you reach a door. Go through the door. You should then be on a cloud. Keep jumping from cloud to cloud until you see the door, then enter it. In-game reset While playing a game, press Select + Start + A + B. You will now be able to get those types of Yoshis in other worlds, and they are fully grown. Note: This does not always work and sometimes you will still get a green Yoshi. After unlocking the red, blue, and yellow Yoshi (feed young colored Yoshi five enemies), you can pick the color you want. If you are Fire Mario/Luigi, you will get a red Yoshi. If you are Cape Mario/Luigi, you will get a blue Yoshi. If you are Big or Small Mario/Luigi, you will get a random color Yoshi (usually either yellow or green). This trick works well with the Top Secret Area. Instant large Yoshi In the Star Road levels, grab and hold a baby yoshi then immediately feed it a Star (the item that makes Mario invincible for a brief period of time). It will instantly grow into a big Yoshi. This is especially useful when you need to act fast and you do not have time to feed it six enemies. Flying Yoshi When Yoshi eats a multicolored shell, he will be able to fly for a short time. Running Yoshi Remain idle at the "Choose a game" screen and watch Yoshi. After awhile he will start running then start walking. Music from Mario Brothers Enter any of the special levels and remain on the world map. Leave the game idle until the music changes.
